Jenni Puroila is a PhD Candidate at the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (Misum) and the Department of Management and Organization (DMO). At the moment, she is exploring human-tree relationships and interactions as part of her PhD thesis. Her current research interests include affects, senses and sense-making, subjectivities, political ecology and more-than-human organizational studies.

Previously, she has done research with topics related to sustainability reporting from the perspective of dialogic accounting and agonistic pluralism. Jenni holds a MSc (Responsible Business) from the University of Tampere, Finland. She gives lectures about corporate sustainability, reporting and governance at the SSE and other universities. She has experience training sustainability professionals with the use of sustainability reporting frameworks, and she used to work at the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) in Amsterdam as a Research Analyst. She is originally from Finland.
