This year’s conference brings together academics, policymakers, and practitioners to debate issues about evolving business models and the ability of accounting to reflect the underlying businesses of firms in their financial reports. The primary goal is to gain a deeper understanding of how financial accounting can become more relevant and useful to both corporate decision makers and external users of financial reports.
Hosted and co-funded by Alliance Manchester Business School, London School of Economics, Stockholm School of Economics and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the one-day conference aims to encourage the search for multiple perspectives on the topic of business models and financial information, and to stimulate an insightful dialogue between researchers and practitioners on the consequences of changing business models for the firm’s financial reporting.
