Art talk: Dan Wolgers

Welcome to this art talk with Dan Wolgers, one of Sweden´s most well-known artist. His works often spring out of playfulness, but also include provocation. Dan Wolgers is represented in the school's permanent art collection with his work Mother and child in The Cabinet Room. The art talk will be held in Swedish on March 25, 12-13, in The Cabinet Room.

Dan Wolgers was born in 1955, and lives and works in Stockholm. He was educated at the Royal Academy of Art, where he also worked as a professor in the 90s.

One of his most famous works is from the group exhibition "Se Människan" 1992–1993 at Liljevalchs konsthall, when Wolgers stole two benches from the arthall, sold them at auction and kept the money. A lot of Wolger´s artworks examine the power structures of the art world.

Welcome to this art talk where Dan Wolgers will guide us through his artworks, in Swedish.
