SSE Library has two agreements with Springer, covering the APCs for researchers at Stockholm School of Economics.
About the agreements
Through the Bibsam Consortium, SSE Library has two agreements for free open access publishing with Springer; one "read and publish" agreement for hybrid journals and one "fully OA" agreement for open access journals.
Springer Compact
Agreement period: 1 January 2019 - 30 December 2021
Allows corresponding authors to publish articles with open access in Springer Nature's hybrid journals, called "Open Choice" (around 1600 titles) for free, while retaining the copyright with a CC-BY license. Covered article types are: Original Papers, Review Papers, Brief Communications and Continuing Education.

Springer Nature Fully OA
Agreement period: 1 July 2019 - 31 December 2021
Allows corresponding authors to publish articles with open access in Springer Nature's Open Access journals (around 600 titles) for free, while retaining the copyright with a CC-BY license.

Publishing process
- When an article is accepted for publishing in an eligible Springer journal, the corresponding author's affiliation will be identified using the institution name provided upon submission.
- A contact person at SSE Library will verify that the author is affiliated with Stockholm School of Economics.
- Once the article has been published open access, the APC will be covered by the agreement.
