Friederike is a PhD Candidate at the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (Misum) and the Department of Management and Organization (DMO).
Her current research explores discourses of environmental and sustainability topics at the international and organizational level. She is particularly interested in the sustainable production and consumption of food.
For her research, Friederike uses primarily qualitative methods, while drawing on social and political theory as well as philosophy to better understand governing for environmental and sustainability challenges.
Friederike also has a background in systematic review methods as well as in behavioural policies for sustainable consumption.
Friederike holds a MSc in Environmental Policy & Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) as well as a bachelor degree in Corporate Management & Economics from Zeppelin University in Germany. Her studies included a semester abroad at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and a research stay at Copenhagen Business School. Before joining SSE, she worked amongst others for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Geneva.
