Experts warn: Despite record for entrepreneurship - the hangover is coming - Karl Wennberg

More companies are being started than ever before and the feared wave of bankruptcy has failed. Swedish entrepreneurship seems to be doing better than ever. But experts warn of a severe hangover after the pandemic. "I am very worried about the recovery," researcher and professor Karl Wennberg told TN.

The statistics should be telling – start-ups are breaking all records and bankruptcies are fewer than expected. During the pandemic year 2020, 14 percent more companies were started than in 2019 and the development continues. In January to April 2021, the number of new enterprises increased by 5.7 per cent compared to the same period last year.
