Wallenberg Postdoctoral Fellow - Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology

Shiyuan (Eric) Liu is a Wallenberg Postdoctoral Fellow at the Swedish Center for Digital Innovation (SCDI) at the Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology, Stockholm School of Economics. He obtained his PHD from Warwick Business School, UK. Prior to that, he received his Bachelor from the University of Nottingham and MSc from the University of Warwick in UK.

His research interests relate broadly to digital innovation, transformation and entrepreneurship. His PHD focused on digital enterprise scaling from a lens of platform identity projecting. He is open to and has applied both qualitative and computational approaches, such as process tracing, archival studies, text mining and applied econometrics, to leverage unprecedented amount and types of digital trace data in studying contemporary digital phenomena.

His research has appeared at the major conferences such as Academy of Management (AOM), European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), and Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS). He participated in the ICIS and AOM Doctoral Consortium in 2020. He also served as editorial board member for the digital repository of the AIS special interest group on Digital Innovation, Transformation, and Entrepreneurship (SIGDITE).
