Can consultants merge?
This PhD project aims at understanding the role of the identity of consultants in mergers between IT consulting and management consulting firms.
The study focuses on:
- How differences between the work of consultants and the subjectivity of consultants are produced as part of the reproduction of consulting identities,
- How the reproduction of consultant identities are disciplined by consulting practices and 3) how consulting identities normalize the consultants attitude toward integration in a merger.
