free Open access publishing: SAGE
SSE Library has a Read-and-Publish agreement with SAGE, covering the APCs for researchers at Stockholm School of Economics.
A list of all SAGE Premier journals available for free open access publishing can be found here: List of SAGE Premier Journals 2020
A list of all SAGE Pure Gold OA journals can be found here: List of SAGE Pure Gold
These 12 journals are excepted from the agreement.
Workflow for articles published in hybrid journals
- When an article is accepted for publishing the author will receive an e-mail containing information that the article can published open access through the agreement. The author is requested to access SOAP.
- In SOAP publishing open access publishing is the default option, but it is possible for the author to choose not to do so.
- If the author chooses open access publishing, CC BY is the only available licence-option. The author can choose to contact the publisher directly if another license is preferred.
Workflow for articles published in pure open access journals
SOAP will not be able to handle pure open access journals until mid-2020. Until then the author must enter “BIBSAM 2020” in the “discount code”-field, using the RightsLink Author Portal. Some journals do not use RightsLink. In these cases the author must contact apcqueries@Publisherpub.co.uk and apply for the discount.
The articles will be published using the CC BY-NC license until SOAP is able to process these articles. After this the articles will be published using CC BY-NC license, unless the author contacts the publisher directly and requests another license.
Please contact Ute Harris (email@example.com) at SSE Library if you have any questions about the agreements.
