Report: "Sweden through the crisis"

The Stockholm School of Economics launched today the first part of the new report "Sweden through the crisis". In it you can read views and perspectives from researchers connected to the School.

One of the chapters released today collects network member Robert Östling's thoughts about whether corona policy is a choice between saving lives or saving the economy. In another chapter, network member Jesper Roine together with Tore Ellingsen write about why Sweden choose a different strategy than other countries. Pessimism about possibility of suppression and optimism about the IFR are key parts of the answer. Sara Rosengren and Jonas Colliander cover changes in consumer behavior during the crisis. Now is the time for retailers to step up their investments in marketing, according to this third chapter. Finally, Emma Stenstrom presents a method to get new perspectives through "bubble-hopping". New chapters will be published every day.
