On 8 June, 2023, the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) and the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) in cooperation with the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) and IVA’s Business Executives Council will host a conference on Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction held at IVA.

Conference

On 8 June, 2023, SCEEUS, SITE, IVA and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise will hold a 1-day conference in Stockholm on furthering the private sector engagement in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction, hosted by the Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell.

The aim of the conference is to take decisive steps forward in mapping the preconditions for a strong private sector participation in the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine. In light of Ukraine’s ongoing EU integration, this includes critical risk mitigation tools and public-private synergies. The idea is to further the discussion on these topics ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference taking place in London on 21-22 June.

The conference is preceded by a welcome reception on 7 June, hosted by Jacob Wallenberg, Chairman of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
