Uyen Vu

PhD Student - Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology

Uyen Vu is a PhD student at the House of Innovation department of Stockholm School of Economics. She is particularly interested in small and medium-sized firms (SMEs). Her motivational question for the pursuit of a PhD is that “What do SMEs actually do to compete and grow on the international scale despite the resources constraints?”. She is currently associated with the Soderberg project which aims to look at the strategic development and operation of retail SMEs in Sweden. Her paper titled “The Internationalization of Retail SMEs through E-commerce: New Rules for An Old Game” is under submission process to a journal in the field of International Entrepreneurship.

Uyen obtained a master's degree in international business and Management from the UK in 2018. Before joining academia, she had earned an extensive experience in both multinational corporations and SMEs settings.
