New board member elected at SITE

The Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) is pleased to welcome a newly elected board member, Kristian Andersson, CEO of SEB Ukraine.

Welcome to Kristian Andersson, CEO of SEB Ukraine, a recently elected board member of SITE. Kristian will be joining Finn Rausing (Chairman), Veronika Bard (Deputy Chair), Caroline Ankarcrona, Lars Strannegård and Mirja Zetterman as part of SITE board members.

About Kristian Andersson

I am since 2012 the CEO of SEB Ukraine, and based in Kyiv since 2008. After studies in London I joined SEB in 1994 where I since have held various positions in Stockholm, Frankfurt, Oslo and Kyiv. Prior to transferring to Kyiv, I was Head of Export & Project Finance in SEB Frankfurt 2004-08. Before my banking career I spent 10 years at sea in the merchant marine, of which 7 years as an Officer for various shipping companies (Wallenius Lines, Transatlantic Shipping Company and Lindblad Expeditions). From time to time I have also served as an Officer in the Royal Swedish Naval Reserve, mainly on the state ice-breakers in Bay of Bothnia. I graduated with a MSc in Shipping, Trade & Finance from Cass Business School, City of London (1993) and a BSc in Nautical Science (Master Mariner) from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg (1985).
