Towards a more professional use of professional services

Organizations spend an increasing amount of money on professional services. Yet, relatively little is known about how they organize their purchase and use of professional services, or how suppliers respond to this. The aim of this project is therefore to give new theoretical and practical insights into how buyers and suppliers of different types of professional services organize their interaction. The project pursues the following research questions:

1. How do buyers organize their purchase and use of professional services?

2. How do suppliers organize the selling and execution of projects?

3. How do buyers and suppliers define the need and the quality of the services?

4. Do the answers to the above questions vary between different types of professional services?

The project starts in the fall 2011 and will last for three years.
