Neutralizing the Bear? Europe’s Non-Aligned States and the Soviet Union in the Global Cold War

Aryo Makko is Professor of History at Stockholm University and Director of the Hans Blix Centre for the History of International Relations. His research interests include the history of international relations, political history, contemporary history, and migration history. He currently works on the project Neutrality and the Kremlin: A Transnational History, which examines the relations between the neutral states of Europe and the Soviet Union in the Global Cold War (1960–1991). The project was conducted within the Pro Futura Scientia program at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study (SCAS).
