Workshop with ICA on Strategy Issues

The students in ICA's Retail Club had a workshop about the strategic possibilities and challenges of ICA.

The workshop was held by Lisa Runnö, Strategy Manager and Lina Forsberg, Strategy Manager, both at ICA Sverige. The workshop started with introductions of the ICA team, as well as a presentation about the company. In the end of the presentation, the students were introduced to some of the strategic possibilities and challenges of ICA. The workshop was focused on sustainability and finding sustainable and profitable solutions for ICA Sweden. The students in the retail club were split up into groups, that included students from all years of study.

The groups all agreed that ICA has an emphasis on high quality products and impressive customer experience. The question was: how can they improve their brand image and sustainable work further? As the task was wide, all groups came up with very different solutions for sustainability at the company, ranging from simple changes of the website to completely new business ventures. Lisa and Lina came with feedback and questions at the end that formed the ideas into possibilities.
