Product Allocation Workshop at H&M
H&M's retail club had a workshop about product allocation in stores.
Amelie Hillstedt, working as a Merchandiser, and My Holmqvist, working as a Supply Chain Planner held a presentation about their jobs and described important aspects to consider when allocating products in stores.
The students were then introduced to a merchandising-case, which focused on product allocation in three different H&M stores close to the office. Each group where given one concept and got material including information about last week’s sales and the sales from the same week previous year. The task was to visit the stores and come up with actions to drive sales.
