Behind the Scenes at Åhléns City
Axel Johnson's Retail Club visited Åhléns City and got to see behind the scenes of the 40 000 square meter department store.
The Club visited the historic Åhléns City to get a glimpse of how it works behind the scenes. The presenter was the store manager Andreas Stenman. We got an interesting review of how Åhléns works with external brands in the store with a shop in shop-solution. Andreas talked about the challenges and opportunities that exist with that kind of setup. It's a smart way to combine the range of many brands and cost awareness.
Andreas also showed the customer journey and how important it is for the customer experience and for the sale. All departments are very well thought out and well-worked so that the customer will get the absolute best experience when visiting. The store works extensively with small details that arouse and stimulate the human senses through taste, smell, and sound.
