Frida Pemer is Docent and Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Organization at SSE. Her research focuses on professional services and the buyer-supplier relationship.
In 2008, she defended her dissertation Failure or Success? An empirical study of how management consulting projects are evaluated in client companies in which she explored why some consulting projects were perceived as more successful by the clients than others. The dissertation was selected as one of the best Swedish dissertations in business administration 2008 and was awarded the prestigious Wallander scholarship.
Frida has since then worked on several research projects regarding professional services in private and public sectors and been visiting researcher at Saïd Business School, Oxford University.
In 2017 she received funding from Forte for a 3-year project called From Human to Robotized Expertise. The project explores how digitalization, robotization and AI might lead to profound changes in professional service firms.
In 2014 she received funding from Forte for a 3-year research project on how the need for hiring professional services is constructed in private and public organizations.
In 2010 Frida received funding from Ragnar Söderbergs Stiftelse for a 3-year project on how companies organize their use and purchase of different types of professional services.
