Anna joined the Center for Advanced Studies in Leadership in 2018 as SSE's first Leader in Residence, with the objective to share experience from leadership in turbulent times with SSE students, alumni and partners.
Graduate of Stockholm School of Economics, Ms Kinberg Batra was elected leader of the Moderate Party of Sweden in 2015. But instead of becoming Sweden's first woman prime minister after the general elections in 2018, she became the first leader of her party in over 100 years to leave office before being tried by the voters.
At the center and in her recent book Inifrån, she discusses new challenges for leadership, in and outside politics, in changing, turbulent and impatient times.
Batra's high-level political experience includes serving as the first woman Moderate Party Group leader in Parliament, the first Moderate Party Chair of the Finance committee and Chair of the EU committee. Outside of politics, she has served as Vice President of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, in the founding teams of two recruiting companies as well as run her own business.
Anna Kinberg Batra teaches, speaks and writes about politics, leadership and change, in Sweden and internationally.
