I am a Researcher, Project Manager, and Editor-in-Chief to two new book projects currently in development at the Stockholm School of Economics Institute of Research (SIR) and Center for Strategy and Competitiveness (CSC), covering the effects of digitalisation on public services. The project is funded by the Internet Foundation of Sweden (IIS).
The book projects concern the digitalisation of future welfare services, and the digitalisation of the labour conditions of tomorrow. Other research projects concerns the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for corporate boards and their potential in assisting the decision-making process.
I previously served as co-editor and contributing author to the book “The Rise and Development of FinTech: Accounts of Disruption from Sweden and Beyond”, also funded by the IIS. The book was published by Routledge in February, 2018 and looks at some of the innovative features existing in Sweden, leading to its front-running position of financial technology (FinTech).
I hold a Ph.D. from Karolinska Institutet. My past research interests include the building of customer loyalty in digital banking (Larsson & Viitaoja, 2017), the need for Research Infrastructures (Larsson, 2017), stakeholder analysis (Larsson, 2013), deliberative vs. collaborative organisation formation (Larsson, Savage, Brommels & Mattsson, 2018), the effects of FinTech on the perception of traditional bank managers (Larsson, 2018), Skunk Works as a distinct form of entrepreneurship (Larsson, 2018). I am also interested in management, organisational studies, entrepreneurship, innovation studies, digitalisation, branding, stakeholder analysis, political science, anthropology, psychology and qualitative research methods.
I have presented work at the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines (IABPAD), Honolulu, Hawaii. I have reviewed for the “Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS)”, and the “International Journal of Bank Marketing”. I have previously served as an Alternate Member of the “SACO Council at Karolinska Institutet” and as a panel expert at the “Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ)”.
I am always looking for interesting research projects and/or an exchange of ideas, so do feel free to contact me if you have a project you wish to discuss, or if you are in need of any particular insights!
