Memories and dreams are recurring themes in the works of Yeondoo Jung. Six Points shows six inner city districts of New York City with communities of people with immigrant background: the Indian community, Little Italy, Chinatown, Korea Town, the Spanish community and the Russian community . For each district, a nar- rator with a typical accent from that area shares a personal experience or memory. The artwork consists of thousands of stills which, when displayed sequentially, pro- duce a moving picture.
Yeondoo Jung (born 1969, Jinju, Korea) lives and works in Seoul, is educated at Seoul National University, College of Fine Arts and Goldsmiths College, London. The artist is internationally recognized with various solo exhibitions - notably at MoMA, New York, where his work is also featured in the collections.
