2015 - Anna Lundin
The 15th winner of Female Economist of the Year is announced - Anna Lundin.
This year Anna Lundin, who graduates with a Master's degree in Marketing and Media Management from the Stockholm School of Economics in June, has won the scholarship which includes a tailor-made position for a year at Spotify.
“The drive, the commitment, the brains and the heart belong to the person not to their gender, or to their geographical location, or to their demographic affiliation. The Female Economist symbolizes the will to take action to achieve a more equal gender balance in senior management positions. I myself would like to have an impact and the Female Economist prize gives me the opportunity to do just that”, says Anna.
At Spotify the scholarship winner will be given a unique opportunity to work in a global, fast-pace company where innovation and playfulness rule. In her tailor-made position, she will work closely with the two Spotify founders, Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon.
“We are very pleased to welcome Anna to Spotify. She has an impressive background, a strong drive and will be a valuable "difference maker" for us”, says Katarina Berg, Spotify HR Manager.
“My year at Spotify will hopefully give me the opportunity to develop in a flexible environment with a fast pace and the bar set high. The Spotify culture, innovative approaches and the level of responsibility the company gives its co-workers seem unique. It will be an honor to represent a company whose product makes people truly happy in such a dynamic industry”, asserts Anna.
Anna has a strong commitment to the Third World and to social, economic and environmental sustainability issues. In 2012 she was awarded the Anders Wall Scholarship which brought the chance to work at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in London for 14 months. While an undergraduate, she had the opportunity to explore and work in the financial world, mainly through the Investment Consulting Group and Deutsche Bank in London. Anna also has professional experience as a brand strategist at Bold and at Åkestam Holst.
