How does this situation affect the exam period? Can I still come to campus to study? And will all lectures be held online now? Find the answers to your questions in our FAQ section.

FOR STUDENTS

Exams:

  • How will this situation impact exams?
    • As of Monday, March 16, exams will be conducted online or with alternative methods, to the largest extent possible. A few exams may be arranged on campus, but in that case students will be seated at a safe distance from each other. Course Directors will be informing students of which form their exam will take.
  • What if I have missed an exam between March 11 and 13?
    • SSE is exploring the possibilities for an extra exam retake period at a later date. More details will follow shortly. Students affected by our restricted access policy that was in effect from March 11 until March 13 should contact their Course Administrator or Course Director for further advice.
  • Will exams be cancelled?

Online lectures:

  • Will all lectures and exams be held online now?
    • Our teaching will move primarily to digital and distance learning channels. The aim is to start online education on March 23 and keep it online during period 4 (until the end of spring semester). This measure will be in effect until further notice.
  • Can I still come to campus to study?
    • The SSE premises will remain open for students, faculty and staff, under clear instructions regarding distance, hygiene etc. Cleaning will be intensified, and study places will be rearranged so as to create more distance between students. Our buildings are spacious and roomy, and we believe that - given a safe distance - the risk of contamination will be less here than it would in, for example, a café or smaller area. It is also important that critical functions such as IT can keep working. Please note that the library is closed to everyone as of March 18.
  • If I am an exchange student and would like to go home, is there a possibility of writing my exam online?
    • It depends on each course. Please contact the Course Directors.
  • What will happen for classes where presence is mandatory (and counts for 30% of the grade)? Can we follow the class online?
    • Our teaching will move primarily to digital and distance learning channels. The aim is to start online education on March 23 and keep it online during period 4 (until the end of spring semester). This measure will be in effect until further notice.
