Alumni of the Year Award 2018

The Stockholm School of Economics awarded the Alumni of the Year for the first time in 2018 and the award went to Helena Saxon, who graduated from the School in 1995 and is now the CFO of Investor.

 

  

The distinction Alumni of the Year is awarded to a person, who has a degree from the Stockholm School of Economics and has achieved professional success, contributed to society and supported the School.  

 

Helena Saxon completed her Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration at the Stockholm School of Economics in 1995. She worked as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs, an Investment Manager at Investor and as the CFO of Halvarsson & Halvarsson. Today, Helena Saxon is the CFO of Investor, which among other things contributes to the Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg Chair in Innovative and Sustainable Business Development at the Stockholm School of Economics. She also holds Board assignments in SEB and Swedish Orphan Biobvitrum Ab (Sobi). 

“Helena is a great role model and is always prepared to support the Stockholm School of Economics. She is a member of the Advisory Board for our Master’s Programme in Accounting and Financial Management. Helena is also a member of the Corporate Partners Advisory Board and a donor to the Arts Initiative at the School,” says Jessica O’Mary, Head of Development and Alumni Relations.                     

The award was presented at Homecoming, the large annual alumni event, on 9 March 2018.
