1. Why did you choose SSE and the MSc Program in Business & Management (MBM)?
SSE is the leading business school in the Nordic region, my top choice for higher education thanks to its focus in sustainability and innovation. The Business & Management program offers many hands-on experiences for me to apply knowledge learnt from school into real-life problems. I’m also excited about the specialization in Marketing and Communication, as I am eager to learn about research on best practices from leading organizations against the backdrop of rapid changes in social media, big data and digitalization. As a K-A Bonnier International Fellow, I’m going to spend one year at the National University of Singapore aiming to explore the cross-border innovation between Stockholm and Singapore, two serious players in the start-up scene. There are also many international and local internships and exchange opportunities for all MBM students.
2. Why would you encourage others to apply to SSE?
Firstly, SSE professors are leading researchers in their fields and they care about their students’ learning journey. For example, we were given a real-life case to solve within the first week of the course and left the classroom to learn more about project management in the real world.
Secondly, there are discussions and opportunities for team work in all of the lectures. Everyone has been very open to debate and give feedback so we can learn from each other. It is the learning environment we are in and certainly it is not happening everywhere.
Last but not least, we know that learning is most effective when it is fun. SSE's Student Association has many clubs, societies and activities, that are great ways for you to make friends and participate in extra-curricular activities. SSE is conveniently located in Stockholm, where there are many things happening all the time.
