KAM session at Svensk Handel

Key Account Managers in the Retail Clubs were treated to a session on retail, digitalization, and consumer rights at Svensk Handel (Swedish Trade Federation).

Our 12 Key Account Managers in the ART program were invited to Svensk Handel to learn more about the employers' association and some of their most current work relating to digitalization and consumer rights.

Our session began with a short presentation of Svensk Handel by Chief Economist Johan Davidson, followed by a presentation on liabilities for online marketplaces, GDPR (e.g., in relation to loyalty clubs), and customer data (including the hot topic of dark patterns) delivered by Sofia Stigmar, EU lawyer at Svensk Handel, who presented directly from Brussels.

After a delicious coffee break, Jolanda Girzl, Business Policy Expert at Svensk Handel, presented what is currently happening - and might very well soon happen - with regards to consumer rights regulations and the current development of legislation related to Swedish retail. We discussed for example how retailers can (and cannot) use sales and claims related to sustainability.
