Improving digital and physical retail channels at Design House Stockholm

SME Retail Club engaged in a workshop with Design House Stockholm in regards to their possible digital and physical channels' improvement areas.

Anders Färdig, the Creative Director, Founder and CEO of Design House Stockholm interacted once again with SME Retail Club students with the task for the workshop being set through the earlier study visit. More concretely, the main challenges being their own digital sales channels conversion rates and communicating the physical store as a mecca for contemporary Scandinavian design as imagination intertwined with formation culminates into pure essence of artistry through design.

In continuation, students were split up into equally diversified groups from first, second and last year. Due to there being two main challenges, groups emphasized their proposals differently. However, a recurring theme was the future of live shopping through social media channels. Thereby, marrying the physical space with the ever increasing online aspect. In continuation, concrete examples proposed solely for the physical store were increasing the social aspect through artist collaboration and live studio sessions performed on a regular basis. During the presentations the Design House Stockholm team posed follow up questions as to the ideas' time aspect and placement in the industry would look like.

To round off the workshop, Anders Färdig and his team provided feedback on a general level providing further insight into current implementation of the proposals and ideas not thought of before but proposed by our students.
