From Sourcing to Shelf at Clas Ohlson
The topic was highly relevant for all students, as we could all get a grasp on how the sourcing is done in a real company, rather than just discussing those in the courses. Andreas Oseén put all the different steps of sourcing together and talked about his experiences in that area.
After his presentation, we had a detailed discussion on the impact of the demanding consumers, who expect to see new products faster. Currently, it takes about 12 months for a product to come from the idea to the shelf. To overcome this challenge of the consumers’ demand, Clas Ohlson put a lot of focus on forecasting correctly.
