Misum's Emma Sjöström at National Innovation Council

On March 2, Misum's Emma Sjöström participated in a discussion with the National Innovation Council, led by Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, with an emphasis on how the financial markets can contribute to society's transition and adaptation to a changing climate. Furthermore, she discussed with the Council how politics can contribute to a long-term sustainable financial market.

"The government has an important role in risk sharing with private investors, setting clear political goals, as well as growing markets for sustainable solutions, for example via public procurement", says Emma Sjöström. In the meeting she presented key results from her recent report on active ownership.

The task of the National Innovation Council is to advance Sweden’s development as an innovation nation and strengthen its competitiveness. The Council has an advisory role and provides new perspectives on key issues in innovation policy.
