Scientific ‘Hackathon’ - Sustainable Markets and the Biosphere
MISUM, the Global Economic Dynamics and the Biosphere Programme, and the Beijer Institute for Ecological Economics organized a great scientific Hackathon at Kämpasten, June 1-2.
The event took place at Kämpasten, in Sigtuna, and it has been the kick-off of emerging collaboration between the mentioned institutes. There were interesting people in the groups and a lot of stimulating reasearch projects have come to light.
The ultimate goal of these days was to identify and write up what we perceive as three major challenges for sustainable markets in an era of rapid global environmental change. These challenges would underpin a joint synthesis article that frames exciting new research venues to explore through multiple methods, frameworks and empirical cases.
