Start of the SSE MBA Executive Format 2021

January 25 marked the first stage of an 18 month journey for a new group of MBA students at the Stockholm School of Economics. The participants are enrolled in the SSE MBA Executive Format 2021 program, an intense learning experience that prepares them to build, lead and develop organizations.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the first program week was delivered completely digitally. This was the first time for a digital program start of the SSE MBA program, and according to the participants we are off to a good start.

“Very successful first week!” says Breezy Brewster, Oracle, I am very happy  with my decision to pursue an MBA with SSE. I am so impressed with the professors, the content and collaboration with my peers - this will be a lifechanging experience without a doubt.”

”Wow, what a first week!” continues Sara Radu, Berema A/S,” I am incredibly impressed of how you have solved and delivered everything digitally, I cannot even imagine how great it will be when we go live! And what an amazing class with a fantastic team spirit and collaborative mind set.”

The participants come from a broad range of industries and arrive with training in different academic fields and diverse cultural backgrounds. Of those entering the program this year 51 percent have origins outside Sweden with 14 countries represented in the group. The average age is 40.

“The experience in this group is very impressive, so we look forward to working with them over the next 18 months”, says Karin Wiström, Director SSE MBA

The program is designed for working professionals who, with the support of their employers, work full-time while pursuing their degrees. All participants carry out a series of live projects in their organizations. These are projects that create positive change and measurable value for the participating organizations and hands-on learning for the participants.

“This is a great foundation for rich discussions and learning from each other, one of our educational cornerstones”, adds Wiström.

Organizations represented in the group include, apart from above, ABB, Bergendahls, Evolution Gaming Group, Huhtamäki OY, Johnson & Johnson, Roche, Scania, Spotify, Swiss Re, Østfold Energi and many more.
