The Department of Economics welcomes five new faculty and researchers to SSE

We are delighted to welcome five new researchers to the Economics Department, including three new Assistant Professors (tenure-track) and two postdoctoral researchers (fixed term).

Incoming Assistant Professors (tenure-track)

Fabio Blasutto will join us from UC Louvain, where he is completing his doctorate with a focus on family economics and macroeconomics.

Sampreet Goraya will join us from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, where he is completing his doctorate with a focus on macroeconomics and development economics.

Celine Zipfel will join us from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she is completing a doctorate in Economics with a focus on applied microeconomics and development economics.

Incoming post-doctoral researchers (fixed term)

Manuel Sanchez finished his PhD at the university of Bristol and has interests in macroeconomic models of life cycle risk and will be working with Prof. Johanna Wallenius.

Marion Leroutier is finishing her PhD in Economics at the Paris School of Economics. She specializes in applied environmental economics and will be joining the Mistra Centre for Sustainable Markets and will additionally have an affiliation to the Department of Economics.
