(Ce)² Workshop

The (Ce)² Workshop is organised as an initiative of the FREE Network by one of its members, the Centre for Economic Analysis (CenEA, Poland) together with the Centre for Microdata Methods and Practice (CeMMAP, UK). This will be the seventh edition of the workshop which will be held in Warsaw on 27-28 June 2022.

The (Ce)² Workshop is a joint initiative of the Centre for Economic Analysis (CenEA, Poland) and the Centre for Microdata Methods and Practice (CeMMAP, UK). The workshop aims at covering topics in microeconomic theory and microeconomic applications. 

We extend the list of fields from which we welcome studies to the following:

  • Human capital development 
  • Intergenerational mobility
  • Poverty alleviation
  • Discrimination and inequality 
  • Domestic violence 
  • Forced migration 
  • Internal displacement

Workshop program

A Poster Session will be organised as an integral part of this year’s Workshop in addition to the regular presentations. The preliminary program for the latter is attached (Access PDF) and also available on CenEA’s webpage. Total number of posters will not exceed 15. As the Workshop will take place in person, the authors of posters will have ample opportunity to discuss their research with other Workshop participants.

Keynote lectures in Honour of Leonid Hurwicz

The 2022 keynote lectures in the Lecture Series in Honour of Leonid Hurwicz will be given by:

The title of Daniel Hamermesh's lecture is: "Time at Play and Work: What Economists Can Do?", while Anna Aizer's address is entitled: "What Underlies the Intergenerational Transmission of Poverty". Both lectures will be held on 28th of June, respectively at 14.45 and 16.15.

Warsaw International Economic Meeting (WIEM) 2022

Participants of the (Ce)² Workshop are also encouraged to take part in the XVII WIEM on 28-30 June 2022, as presenters or audience members. The Hurwicz keynote lectures, held on the afternoon of June 28, will also serve as the opening event for WIEM.
