Melanie Meng Xue is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Economics and Center for Economic History at Northwestern University. Her research lies at the intersection of political economy and economic history. One strand of her research focuses on how culture and institutions are shaped by history, and how history advances our knowledge of general economic and political phenomenon.
