On December 17, SITE together with Nationalekonomiska Föreningen will host a special seminar with Professor Sergei Guriev (Paris Institute of Political Studies) were he will share his insight and reflections on the Political Economy of Russian Stagnation. The seminar will be moderated by SITE's Director, Torbjörn Becker.
About Sergei Guriev
Sergei Guriev is a Professor at Paris Institute of Political Studies (also known as Sciences Po) in Paris. Guriev was previously chief economist for the EBRD and head of the New Economic School in Moscow, working closely with SITE at the Stockholm School of Economics. During his time in Russia he served on the board of directors of Sberbank and a number of other companies as well as in the Russian president's council for science, technology and education. Guriev's scientific articles have been published in leading academic journals and his policy analyzes in both Russian and international press.
