Natalya Naumenko is a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at Northwestern University. She holds a M.A. in Economics from the New Economic School and a B.S. in Mathematics from Novosibirsk State University. Her primary field is Economic History and her secondary field is Applied Microeconomics.
In her Job Market Paper “The Political Economy of Famine: the Ukrainian Famine of 1933”, she uses variation in exposure to poor government policies and in ethnic composition within Ukraine to study the impact of policies on mortality, and the relationship between ethnic composition and mortality.
