Girija Borker is a Ph.D. Candidate at Brown University and holds a Masters in Economic Theory and Econometrics from Toulouse School of Economics and a BA (Honors) degree in Economics from both University of Cambridge and St. Stephen’s College. She works primarily in the areas of Development Economics, with a focus on gender, education, and transport.
Borker’s Job Market Paper “Safety First: Perceived Risk of Street Harassment and Educational Choices of Women” examines the impact of perceived risk of street harassment on women’s human capital attainment. Download the paper presented during the seminar here.
