Increasingly, business organizations substitute and complete activities and processes by external providers as consultants, temporary workforce, franchising and outsourcing. What does it mean for business organizations and their leadership? How does it influence company values, competence and a sustainable leadership? How to secure long-term development? Is there a certain leadership approach to manage such challenges to a competence advantage?
This seminar illustrates such questions from practice and theory. Sofia Vahlne, Lawyer, Manager, HR, Scania presents aspects on how Scania manages this kind of situation. Ellen Montén, BSc, SSE and Edin Colak, MSc, SSE, who were granted the Pause and Iaccoca Institute Global Village scholarships will present their studies and reflections on leadership and co-operation between insiders and outsiders. Pernilla Bolander, assistant professor, SSE, researching the field of assessment and development of competence management discusses multiple HR-systems for mixed workforces. Moderator of the seminar is Ingalill Holmberg, professor, SSE, researching the interface between leadership, organizing and management.
