Korea’s economic success has inspired numerous studies and research projects in past decades. However, earlier studies have not been able to systematically and comprehensively explain the country’s “miraculous” growth.
Professor Moon developed a new model that is more appropriate to explain Korea’s economic and business success. He will analyze the fundamental background of Korea’s growth and provide useful guidelines for other countries as well, particularly the Asian countries.
Professor Hwy-Chang Moon (Ph.D. from University of Washington) joined the faculty of Seoul Business School of aSSIST as Chair Professor after retiring from the Graduate School of International Studies at Seoul National University.
His area of expertise includes topics such as international competitiveness, global business strategy, foreign direct investment, cross-cultural management, Korean (and Asian) business and economy, and creating shared value. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the international academic journal, Journal of International Business and Economy.
