CFR Early Insight #20
TALES FROM THE LAND OF CONSUMER REVIEWS
In our modern economy, ratings and reviews are omnipresent. Regardless of whether you book a table at a restaurant, decide on a hotel for your summer vacation or buy a new dishwasher – everything has been reviewed by other consumers. This has sparked the interest of researchers and practitioners alike and led to a growing literature on the workings of the so-called Reputation Economy.
On November 11, Alexander Mafael will provide insight into the academic literature on online reviews and ratings, focusing on key findings of previous research, as well as an outlook on future topics. The seminar will end with a discussion of challenges and opportunities in relation to online reviews and how retailers can use them for business.
