Theodor Kallifatides gives a lecture at Stockholm School of Economics

The acclaimed author Theodor Kallifatides will give a lecture on November 5, 16.00-17.00 in the Aula. The talk, which will be given in English, is open to the public and all students at the school.

Theodor Kallifatides was born in Greece in 1938 and moved to Sweden in 1964. His latest book Slaget om Troja was published in September 2018.

He has published more than 30 fictional works (novels, poetry collections, travel essays and plays) and been translated to more than 20 languages. His work often revolves around themes of migration and he is one of few literary authors who have published in two languages. The Swedish Government has appointed him the professor’s title “for a remarkable authorship”, and he has received numerous literary awards.

The talk will focus on his book Another Life published in 2017, which all students in the SSE Literary Agenda have read and discussed in book-circles. This is the first lecture in a series of authors talk that the SSE Literary Agenda, financed by Natur och Kultur, will arrange the coming years.
