I am an assoc professor currently engaged in research projects dealing with the co-evolution of digital health infrastructures and social relationships in healthcare, the recursiveness between policy and care provider initiatives in the area of patient health records (PHRs), blockchain technologies and the diffusion of co-care initiatives in chronic care.
I am also the principal investigator in the project "The quantification of care: on how numbers can open and close doors to healthcare improvement" (-2019). The project aims to conceptualize how the role of numerical measures change as numbers are transferred across situations and levels of social order. In particular, we seek to answer when and how the use of measures contribute to sameness and homogeinity (reduction in variability), and in what situations the use of measures contribute to diversity, innovation and heterogeneity (increased variability) in care service delivery.
I supervise master and doctoral students in management and organization at Stockholm School of Economics and in health policy and management at Karolinska Institutet. I also teach organising, service operations, and digital transformation at the Stockholm School of Economics. I also hold various practice-oriented workshops dealing with digital infrastructures, services platforms, and moving from products to services. To name some examples :-)
