The research at the Center for International Economics and Geography focuses on applied economics and geography with an international orientation. One set of studies deals with transition problems in developing countries.
In ”Knut Wicksell on the Causes of Poverty” we deal with Wicksell’s analyses of the interplay between population growth and poverty.
The project “Welfare Effects of International Trade” aims to empirically examine welfare aspects of trade using micro data and drawing on recent methodological advances in the study of competition when goods are differentiated.
A number of projects deal with home and host country effects of foreign direct investments.
