New project to look at alumni happiness

How does your career choice and life situation affect your happiness? The Stockholm School of Economics is launching a new initiative to study the wellbeing and happiness of its alumni.

The SSE Good Life Alumni Panel aims to learn about the shared and unique properties of different career choices, paths, and life situations and events, and how they affect the happiness of SSE’s alumni. The project is led by Micael Dahlen, Professor and Director of the Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness.

The panel will collect background information and set a baseline for the study, with the goal of continuously learning from and together with its alumni.

"This is very exciting! The panel will be the first of its kind and present a world unique opportunity for us to learn about life paths and wellbeing with our alumni," says Professor Micael Dahlen.

SSE hopes that sharing the knowledge, experience, and insights of its alumni will be of great benefit to the School, its alumni, and society at large. Personal information will be kept strictly confidential and anonymized, and data will only be analyzed and reported on an aggregate level.
