Join us at the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication for an informal lunch seminar featuring Tobias Billström, Sweden's former Minister for Foreign Affairs (2002-2004). Drawing from his new book, Skarpt läge, Mr. Billström will offer a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective on the diplomatic efforts that led to Sweden’s historic decision to join NATO. He will also discuss the impact of rising geopolitical tensions on Swedish businesses.

Mr Billström has a long back background in Swedish politics. In addition to his tenure as Foreign Minister he also served as Minister for Migration 2006-2014 and as Member of Parliament for the Moderate Party from 2002. He holds an MPhil in History from the University of Cambridge.
