Welcome to Department of Finance
The Department of Finance at SSE is the leading finance department in Sweden with about 15 faculty and 20 PhD students. A large proportion of the faculty and the PhD students has an international background.
Within the BSc & MSc Programs the Department is responsible for the specialization in finance. Faculty members also take an active part in the MBA program, IFL Executive Education and SSE Riga. The PhD program is integrated into the Stockholm Doctoral Program in Economics (SDPE) and also part of the Nordic Finance Network.
The Department’s research covers the whole range of financial economics, including: corporate finance and contract theory; law and finance and corporate governance; asset pricing and financial econometrics; derivatives and risk management; mathematical finance; behavioral finance; market microstructure; real estate.
