CSC works in a trans-disciplinary tradition involving theories from Strategy, Management, International Business, Economic Geography, Economic Sociology and Economic History. Our research on strategies and competitiveness are linked to clusters, networks and the broader microeconomic business environment.
CSC is managing the Cluster Observatory
, jointly with Orkestra (Bacque Institute of Competitiveness)
. CSC is also the coordinator of the Europe INNOVA Cluster Mapping project
, funded by DG Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission.
CSC participates in the CLUSNET
project, coaching a network of ten cities in developing their cluster policies. CSC is also a Partner Institute of the Global Competitiveness Network of the World Economic Forum, purveyor of information on Sweden for the Global Competitiveness Report
, published annually by the World Economic Forum in Geneva.
CSC also leads the Nordic Virtual Worlds Network (NVWN),
an international, inter-disciplinary project focused on investigating entrepreneurship and innovation in relation to virtual worlds and the 3D internet. The project runs from March 2010 to February 2012 and has a budget just under USD 1 mln. The project’s primary financier is the Nordic Innovation Center (NICe). More information on the project
CSC is an affiliate institute to the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness (ISC), led by Professor Michael Porter at HBS.
