On February 14, SITE arranged a half-day conference on the theme: "The Future of Electricity Markets in Eastern Europe and Russia".

On 16-17 June, 2011, SITE and Södertörn Högskola arranged a conference on Privatization and Liberalization, focusing on network industries and Eastern Europe.

On November 22, 2010, SITE held a seminar with Chief Economist Erik Berglöf devoted to the EBRD Transition Report 2010 - Recovery and Reform.

On October 28, 2010, SITE arranged a half-day conference devoted to the theme: "the Future of Natural Gas in Europe".

On October 5, 2010, SITE arranged a full-day conference devoted to the theme: “Georgia’s New Horizons: Restoration of Territorial Integrity and EU-Integration”.

On May 21, 2010, SITE hosted a seminar with Anders Åslund, Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. The seminar was devoted to the economic policy of the new Ukrainian government.

On December 8, 2009 SITE hosted an open lecture with Chief Economist Erik Berglöf, EBRD, devoted to "the EBRD Transition Report 2009 - Transition in Crisis".

On April 14, 2009, SITE held a seminar with Laza Kekic and Joan Hoey from the Economist Intelligence Unit, London. The seminar was devoted to the post-crisis outlook for Eastern Europe, focusing on both economic prospects and political risks.

External assistance from the EU, the US, and IFIs will help protect the country’s economy. It should come not only in the form of loans but also as grants and more open access to new export markets. Download Torbjörn Becker's comment.

On 16 May, 2008, SITE organized a seminar on the growing Russian middle class with Claes Ericson, Marcus Svedberg, and Carolina Vendil Pallin.

On April 28, 2008 SITE held a seminar on the future of the Belarus economy. A report written by SITE the previous summer stood as a basis for the discussions.
