One of the very few scholarships selected by the President at SSE.
The intent behind the GELS Scholarship is truly unique among offerings to students at the Stockholm School of Economics
Bring your own passion to life!

The GELS Scholarship offers outstanding students at SSE the opportunity to create and realize abroad innovative projects of their own design. The aim of the scholarship is to offer experience and personal development outside of the academic realm that benefits the student’s education and professional aspirations. Earlier recipients of the GELS Scholarship have gone on to careers in industries ranging from management consulting to entrepreneurship and social initiatives. Together they form the active GELS alumni network, supporting the new GELS Scholar and helping each other to grow.
"The GELS Scholarship stimulates personal initiative and an opportunity for personal development, which provides a valuable complement to the studies at SSE" says Rolf Wolff, President at SSE, who personally selects the GELS Scholar(s).
The Gun and Einar Larssons Stiftelse was established in 1999 through a donation by Signe Anetorn Eriksson in memory of Gun and Einar Larsson (SSE 1933). They had been friends and advisers to the donor. Einar was the founder of Einar Larssons Revisionsbyra which currently operates as Deloitte. Chairman of the Foundation is their son Claes Larsson, SSE (1969) and an MBA from Harvard Business School (1973).
The Foundation annually provides the funds covering the total costs of carrying out the project proposed by those applicants who are appointed as GELS Scholars by the President of the school.
